How does Pinot Noir 2012 taste?

A low yielding year with a very cool summer led to long hang time for the grapes to ripen fully. The 2012 when young was ripe and appealing, with notes of plum and aromatic spice, underpinned by chalky tannins and leading through to a persistent finish.
