How does Chardonnay 2016 taste?

The 2016 growing season was one of the driest that the Marlborough region has experienced since the wine industry was established. However low yields and excellent ripening condition led to some great wines. The 2016 Chardonnay on release was fresh, beguiling, with notes of candied lemon and subtle spice, hazelnuts and crème patissière.
