How do the most fashionable people from the Hamptons create a night to remember with Cloudy Bay wines? In late March, Cloudy Bay and Outstanding In the Field hosted the newest ‘Wonderscape’ in East Hampton, New York. The event blended the iconic scenery of the East Hamptons coast with a variety of captivating Cloudy Bay wines, creating an evening to be remembered.
The entire event from the ground up was shaped by our ‘Wondermakers’ that created an idyllic world that every guest could immerse themselves into. Held at the picturesque Fireplace Farm at sunset, Kelsea Olivia arranged gorgeous florals, based in green and sunset tones. This Floralscape perfectly blended the soft green of the Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc bottle with the idyllic nature of an evening in the Hamptons.
Suki Waterhouse, the well-known actress, model and entrepreneur brought her own brand of eclectic energy to hosting the evening. Alongside the stylist duo Shelcy and Christy of NYCXCLOTHES, who created the beautifully intricate mood of the evening. Their uniquely modern, chic style allowed them to heighten the beauty of the location through fashion, without overpowering it. The natural world was blended cleanly into their Fashionscape, creating an ethereal mood that set guests’ expectations high for the rest of the evening.
And of course, what would the perfect evening event be, without a decadent dinner menu. Chef Jason Weiner, was tasked to create our Foodscape by pouring Cloudy Bay’s rich New Zealand wine selection through a unique culinary experience. The team from Amber Waves ensured the event was truly farm to table, sourcing the freshest produce direct from their own crops. With this, the guest’s enjoyed a decadent 3 course meal that was expertly paired course by course with an array of Cloudy Bay’s finest wine.
First, Tuna fermented with Amber Waves Farm’s carrot dressing and caraflex cabbage, paired with the zesty and vibrant Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc. Next, the Cloudy Bay Te Koko was poured, its complex notes the perfect pairing with Chef Weiner’s steamed clams. And for the finale, the Cloudy Bay Te Wahi’s opulent dark berry fruit core matched expertly with the third and final course of gorgeous wood roasted scallops and Amber Waves farm kohlrabi chowder.
The night came to a close over dessert, bringing an end to the first Cloudy Bay Wonderscape in the U.S.A. The guest’s experience concluded, having had an unforgettable evening imbued with beautiful food, company, and Cloudy Bay wine.
