What is your favourite thing about hosting?
My favourite thing about hosting is enjoying the experience of abundance - of food, the wine, the tabletop settings, the flowers, and the genuine connection with those who are present. There is something so special about being in a beautiful and warm environment that helps you to just let out a sigh of relief… and relax. All of those elements together with the people and the energy that they bring – really sets the stage for a time of connection.
What do you consider to be your favourite styling element when setting up your Thanksgiving setting?
I would have to say the flowers of course! Besides the food, seasonal and local blooms are such a beautiful way to express the exact time of year and likely, where in the world you are gathering with your loved ones. I love the story that both food and flowers can tell simply by being incorporated into your décor.
What is your favourite dish to serve with Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Noir on Thanksgiving?
I think that lamb chops are the perfect pairing for a chilled Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc. The wine's acidity and fruity notes complement and cuts through the richness of the lamb, and is refreshing between bites.
