From a stellar vintage that we will remember for low yields but perfect growing conditions, this year’s wine is exceptionally expressive, vibrant and intense.
Nikolai St. George, our senior winemaker, says the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc will be remembered as an exemplary Marlborough wine.
This year in particular it is incredibly aromatic, and the low yields mean that it’s rich and weighty on the palate. When you sip that glass of Sauvignon Blanc 2021, you are tasting the perfect example of a ‘classic vintage’.

For fans of New Zealand white wine, there’s an extra reason to be excited this year: we are also releasing our 2019 Te Koko Sauvignon Blanc at the same time (which you can read about here).
Nikolai says that this is a unique opportunity to compare two great vintages and two unique styles of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
This is a chance to explore our full vision of Sauvignon Blanc as a variety. Subtle seriousness meets vibrant intensity. I hope you have an opportunity to taste them side-by-side.
